Episode 183: Boston Marathon Bombing: Terrorism or False Flag?

On this episode of the Sofa King Podcast, we discuss the Boston Marathon Bombing. Some think it was an act of internal terrorism, others a false flag operation perpetrated by the US government, and we try to figure out the truth. On April 15, 2013, two bombs went off near the finish line of the 117th Boston Marathon, killing three spectators and wounding more than 260 other people. They were bombs made of pressure cookers and were allegedly made following the diagrams posted on an al-Qaeda magazine found online.

Two days after the bombings, two suspects were identified by the FBI. They were 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, brothers from Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan. One was a US citizen, the other had a green card. What happened then was a media whirlwind, and the facts are a little muddy. Allegedly, the brothers met up after the bombing, shot a police officer, and hijacked an SUV. They left Boston and headed to the city of Watertown, where their carjacked hostage made an escape and called the cops. They tracked his car down via cellular towers and crept up on the two suspects.

A gun fight ensued. One officer was shot but lived, and apparently the older Dzhokhar was tackled by police and then run over by his own brother’s car! The brother got away, and Dzhokhar died that night in the hospital. This story is full of holes, and we talk about the flaws in the reporting and official accounts. After this, all of Boston and Watertown went on lock down, and eventually, they found the younger Tamerlan hiding in a boat that was dry-docked in a backyard.

So, with all of this, why do people think the Boston Marathon Bombing was a false flag event? Were the brothers completely innocent? What about the other two suspects with black backpacks and Punisher logos? Was this an attempt to make gunpowder illegal? Why did a team of mercenaries arrive on the scene within minutes? Listen, laugh, learn.
